A NEW UNITED NATIONS IS DISCUSSED

All of the Korians and Energynauts are still viewing Kor from the space ship hovering near Lumena. This will be a short blog today because I have stomach flue and I will make it up tomorrow when I get to feeling better.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty Three

"We are still on our honeymoon," said Wills, "and what a honeymoon we are having! But, now it is time to return home to help build a new democracy and rebuild an army that will, thankfully, become mainly a National Guard.

"I would like to make a proposal to have a United Nations made up of all four countries, that would have a small, active army and navy to take care of squabbles between neighbors, or fishing rights, things like that. I also propose that this army and navy would set up a game of lizard chess between any two conflictants and enforce a fair and honest game. Best three out of five wins their point of view. This will take us away from the terrible fear of death, the horrendous loss of life, that physical fighting induces.

"Let the best man win and leave our sons alone.

"Such a United Nations organization could help out in natural disasters, or child labor violations, or slavery, or as a central medical clinic for anyone who does not have insurance."

"Whoa there Wills," said Ed. "We love your enthusiasm and you have sold us all on such a great organization, but we need to finish going around the table. However, let's talk about this next time we meet, and I really believe that you will be able to pull your idea off. People are wanting such an organization. Korians hate war!"

Tomorrow, there are more surprises as the friends continue their space flight.

WRITING FROM THE RITZ OF ATLANTIC CITY, NJ

A golden line forms at the horizon of sea and sky. An explosion of light forms around the edges of clouds and morning is born.

I am happily ensconced at the Ritz and have met several very lovely women who have drawn me into their swimming group. I find the Ritz to be filled with the loveliest, most welcoming people. I was worried because I did not have fancy clothing and thought that might cause me trouble meeting people, but everyone is very relaxed here and everyone says "Hello!"

The color of the sea and the sky changes with the mood of the water. Sometimes the sky is a soft, gentle blue and the ocean is a slate gray blue, then you'll look out of the window a little later and the sky and ocean have become one light gray color and the horizon has blurred into a solid wall of fog; you feel like you're sitting inside of a cloud; which I understand we are.

I have finally gotten unpacked and am putting up the pictures this weekend. I am madly in love with this room. It is a long rectangle that is broken up into thirds. On both sides of the front door are a bathroom and a walk-in closet with rows of shelves for storage. In the middle is a tiny kitchen on one side and a writer's den surrounded with books on the other side. Then there is the area of the couch and chair; the bed, a dresser, and a night stand on the opposite side. This is the ocean viewing area of the room and my window can remain open every day to capture the sounds, sights, and smells of the sea and the Boardwalk.

I sleep so soundly now at night; no more sleeping aids. The crash of the waves on the shore lull me to sleep in the early evening and wake me up before sunrise so I can watch that magnificent spectacle.

There is a salt water taffy and fudge factory next door to this building-they also sell ice cream cones. There is a psychic's office two doors down and there is the IMAX in the casino next door on the other side of the building.

I have walked and been using the exercise room every day. It is a lot of fun and I have been able to walk to the bank and drug store and a Spanish grocery store smaller than my entire room.

I want to thank you for standing by my side during this last move. It took a lot of work and organizing to get moved in, and I was afraid I might lose you because of all the mishaps and gaps that occur when your life is disrupted. But you are here with me and I thank you for being my support team and coming back to visit me.

I hope that you have a very good weekend and get to rest and relax. I will keep you updated on my adventures at the Ritz on Sunday mornings and the rest of the week I will finish serializing Legend of Kor. When Kor is finished I will then go back and complete the first book, THE GOD GAMES: Heaven & Hell.

Have a wonderful week ahead of you and may God bless you and your families with wealth and health and the abiding presence of ONE'S spirit in your life. Thank you again for your support.  Davalene Hirsch

PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

Today the friends party and talk about their future plans.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty Three

Adam got 13 glasses and passed them around. He pulled out of his back pocket a large flask of Rye Whiskey and proceeded to give each adult a healthy dollop. He gave Trev and Julie some smores that he had managed to rustle up in about five minutes. They all toasted Bond and Lucy, and they may have stayed in that position for a long time except that Ed reminded them that they still had a short meeting before leaving for their homes and so they had better be heading back. At which, all of the ladies, being faced with the fact of their imminent separation, began to weep. The men cleared their throats and tried to calm the ladies.

In spite of the tears and the aching hearts, everyone got buckled up again.

"Now," said Ed, "I am going to go back home quite slowly. Take this opportunity to observe the stars and planets of the Cosmos, particularly of the Veral Solar System. Relax and enjoy the colors and the movements. It is the grandest sight possible, and just think that the creator of all of this, loves you so much that he sent a special mission to help you out with Gog and the impending genocide."

All of the group sat back and studied the magnificent Cosmos and said a prayer in their hearts to ONE, thanking him for sending them the ship bearing their greatest friends in the Cosmos. Thank you for delivering us.

Ed landed the ship at the base and everyone got unbuckled. Then they just sat and looked around them, trying to memorize every inch of this wonderful vehicle.

Ed sat down with us and called us to a formal meeting; our last formal meeting.

"My friends, before we part ways, please tell us all, what your plans are, for the future. Bond, maybe you should start, since we know a little about you now-that we had never suspected!"

"I am happy to say that in six months, Lucy and I will be married, and we plan to have a large family-as soon as possible.

"Miriam, you do not know this yet, but I am moving to Delta and Lucy and I are buying a big home just off of the University campus. next semester I have been hired as a professor in the Art Department."

Everyone clapped and whistled; we were all delighted with their plans.

Lucy said that she intended to stay on at the University and get outside help when the children were born. "We have all of you to thank for our relationship. If our visitors hadn't come, I may never have met Bond; I don't think I've ever been happier."

Miriam said that she had decided to retire from her judgeship and spend her time writing about her experiences as a Supreme Court Judge. She also wanted to lecture and do some traveling. Now that she had seen all of Kor from the air, she wanted to see it on road trips.

Adam chuckled and said, "Why Miriam, I guess great minds come to the same conclusions-sometimes. I am also going to retire, in another year. During that time-and this will come as a surprise to him-I will be grooming Lieutenant Ted Stars to become the next Commander of the Wale Army."

Whistles and congratulations rang through the ship again and we all cried and laughed at the same time. Adam pulled out his flask of Rye and liberally passed it out, and none of us were feeling anything beyond the most exquisite pain/joy, as we laughed until we cried.

"I, also, am going to retire next month," said General Patrick. "I have been dreaming of going fishing for years now, but with the trouble in the land I could not do that. But I have several really strong generals, and one of them will take my place just fine. Now that Gog is dead, I suddenly am free to do as I want for a change. I am going to fish and study Philosophy; what joy!"

Lt. Stars took a brief pause in the conversation to say, "Adam, I am so happy that you would think of me. I really never considered that you would ever want to retire, so it never occurred to me that someone would ever take your place. Thank you! I will give you all of my will and effort."

"I know you will, that is what you do everyday. That is why I trust in you so much. I know you will keep Wale free from now on, and I can relax and go back to my farm with my Willow and our children. We may even have more little ones; children that I can stop and enjoy," said Adam.

Tomorrow plans for a United Nations organization is discussed and more personal plans are disclosed.

INTO SPACE FOR ONE LAST TIME

The energynauts and their Korian friends make a last trip on the space ship.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty Three

"Each and every one of you are the winners," said Glenna. "You each have special skills that were needed to move the process along. Each of you are strong willed and never give up on what you have willed to do. I placed my life in your hands and never gave it a thought; we have developed total trust between us.

"I love you Miriam, and I love each one of you. May ONE bless each of you and all of Kor."

I looked around the group and caught a special smile passing between Bond and Lucy. I wondered in my heart if there was more than friendship between them.

"ONE asked the four of us to come to Kor and find a way to help all of you get rid of Gog and free the prisoners from the camps. However, he gave us very few instructions on how to do it. He told us to listen to the prayers of all Korians and find out where the people's hearts are. Then he asked us to seek out you four leaders; Wills, Lucy, Adam, and Miriam, and give you the aid you need to defeat Gog. We were not to interfere with your decisions, or make your decisions for you, and we were not to do what you can do for yourselves.

"We were a little worried about how to go about things, but after we had met you, everything fell into place and you set goals and ran with them.

"Together, united, we fought back and won. Congratulations for giving everything for Kor's future. We love you all very much," I concluded.

We all sat still for a moment, dabbing at our eyes. It was a painful rejoicing.

"Well, Glenna and Ann, shall we feed our friends now? Then, after we eat and relax for a moment, we will take a ride in the ship and cruise over the four countries to see any changes that have occurred; then we will fly to Lumena and admire the beauty of Kor from a distance. Before we leave for home, we will all sit down again to say our closing remarks. Then we will return you to your homes," said Ed.

Glenna and I spread the food out on the table and we served buffet style. Everyone had third helpings and we decided to have dessert when we came back from our trip.

We cleared off the table and battened everything down, then everyone put on seat belts and harnesses, and we lifted off of our base, put the invisibility on, and hovered over Emon. There we saw the desert and the plains at peace; no armies from Gog, and soldiers seen only at the roads at Emon's borders. The University shined and sparkled in the light of Veral.

We flew over the fields of Wale and noticed that most of the fields had been harvested, and over Lake Como we saw people actually taking vacations; soaking up Veral's rays. We saw that there were still soldiers at all of the checkpoints, and imagined that the Wales may never totally let down their guard.

Plange Bay sparkled in the afternoon light and the Salt Castle looked like a large diamond. All was peaceful in Voun, and only her border roads were guarded.

We hovered over the Vorask Forest and Wills spotted his cabin. All seemed well and untouched. The streets of Selve were quiet, with only the usual business traffic and no soldiers at all could be seen. They saw families playing in the parks and fuseball being played on vacant lots around Mano.

Ed put the ship in hover mode and turned around in his "driver's seat" and asked if everyone had seen what they wanted to see on Kor. If they had, they would travel on to Lumena. Bond asked if he could talk with him a minute, and Ed had him unbuckle and come over to him. Bond whispered in his ear that, when they reached Lumena, could he put the ship in hover mode, like this, for a few minutes. He said that he had a special announcement to make. Ed told him, yes, that would be fine. Bond buckled up again and they were off for Lumena.

They had forgotten just how beautiful Kor looked from Lumena. They all sat and admired the view and Ed put the ship on "hover."

Bond unbuckled all of his harnesses and everyone watched him wondering what he was up to.

Bond kneeled down in front of Lucy, and looked at her with love written all over his face. He pulled a little velvet box out of his pant's pocket and opened the lid. He handed the little box to Lucy. Inside, was a tiny golden oak tree on a fine golden chain.

"Lucy, I love you with all of my heart. Will you marry me and be my wife?"

Lucy looked into Bond's eyes and was still a moment. A mixed marriage was not often seen in Kor, but she loved Bond. He was a good man, and remarkable in so many ways. They would be able to overcome any obstacles.

"I love you Bond, and I would be proud to be your wife. My answer is 'yes.'"

Bond placed the necklace around Lucy's neck and kissed her in front of everyone.

Whistles and shrieks of joy filled the ship. Everyone clapped and Adam unbuckled, unclasped, and went over and lifted Bond into the air.

"Little brother, such a surprise. Ha! Ha! Well, we must have a small libation to celebrate. imagine, two weddings out of our little group of 15-and two of the 15 are children!"

Tomorrow several other members of the group have special events coming up.

HOW TO WIN YOUR LIFE GAME

On board the space ship, the energynauts and the Korian leaders discuss their adventures and have their question about how to win their life games answered by Ed.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty Three

Alice raised her hand and said, "I have watched from the sidelines these months, and have been in mainly a supportive position, but in the camps I was able to feel that my work was needed and I knew you had accepted me as a member of the team.

"You certainly made a difference in my world. You got rid of Gog, raised up a democracy, freed the prisoners, healed the dying Wales, and you did it by uniting us in a common goal. I am very proud to be Korian. I see that we have faults, we are human after all, but I see such courage, and strength, and compassion in each of us that it gives me hope for the future of our world. We almost lost everything, but now we know what needs to be done and we are united by deep friendships.

"I have been truly blessed by coming to know you so well. I hope that we can celebrate our friendship and our freedom, and I would like to suggest, that all of Kor celebrate one day a year, say a Rejoice Day, where we celebrate our freedom and cement our friendships."

"Yes, I feel the same," said Lieutenant Stars. "Once, life was continuously a sense of terror. It was bad enough when we were being stolen to become slaves, but then Gog decided to exterminate every one of us and we really knew terror and dread.

"We would never sneak up behind a friend to startle them, because they may have a heart attack in their constant state of terror. It really is debilitating to never be able to completely relax. The functions become out of step with one another; constant stress on the heart and intestines.

"You have all caused us to be free again. It has been generations since we have breathed freely and deeply in Wale. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart."

Adam stood up tall and straight, but tears were streaming down his face. "My brothers and sisters, and you too, Trev and Julie, I love each one of you with my whole soul. I have been blessed to work with you. I never once imagined that we could join together and fight together for a single purpose. I never imagined that anyone, who was not a Wale, would care whether we were exterminated, or not. I thought we stood alone.

"We succeeded. I am just amazed that we were able to unite and push together so quickly, but the quality of leadership in our groups was outstanding.

"As a Wale, my heart is bursting with joy at our salvation. As a Korian, I am so proud that we all can work together for a common goal.

"I would also like to encourage a Rejoice Day, but maybe call it a Freedom Festival, or something like that. I would also like to have a day set apart each year to mourn the loss of the Emon, Voun, and Wale victims of Gog's holocaust.

"Again, I thank each of you for your indomitable will and for sticking with us to the end. Yes, we have more than succeeded. ONE has given us a great victory and we thank and praise him for his many blessings. Amen."

"Well, that brings us down to the three of us visitors," said Ed. "Actually, I also speak for Tom who made a tremendous sacrifice for our cause, even though for the wrong reasons. We mourn the loss of the presence of our friend, and Glenna's husband, we keep him in all of our prayers.

"We feel that we have successfully completed all of the goals we had established at our first meeting. You are all such loved friends now, that I cannot even imagine not interacting with you every day. There will be a big space in our hearts missing each one of you."

"Ed, before you go, I have been listening to you talk about 'winning your life game.' I get the life games, but how do I win my life game? Is it a secret, or a riddle?" asked Adam.

"I'm sorry I haven't addressed this before, but I do want to solve the riddle for you before I leave you; it is necessary for growth and development. I have told you many times that, in order to live in Heaven eternally, you must win your life game, but I haven't told you how to win it yet.

"Our goal is to win our life game by becoming aware that we are love and that we are one with the Cosmos; one with ONE. Then, you have won your life game. When you know that you are one with ONE, and that all of ONE'S children are a part of ONE, thus a part of you, and you are aware that you are love, then you win your life game and you live forever in Heaven," explained Ed. (There was a chorus of "oh's!" around the table.)

"I love each one of you," said Glenna. "This experience has brought me great joy and great pain. I found my dear friend, Miriam. She is the most intelligent, the most compassionate person, I have ever known. I'm praying that we are allowed to come back to visit.

"My heart is in pain because I am missing Tom. But if it had to happen, I am glad that it was Gog who was eliminated. I have every faith that Tom will find himself again and be let out of the Temple to come home again. ONE is so merciful, and Tom will be working on himself, so I feel that our separation will not last forever."

Tomorrow the friends go on their last trip in the space ship, and many surprises develop.

WE GATHER AT THE SHIP TO REMINISCE ABOUT THE WAR

Everyone meets at the space ship to have a party and discuss whether we had succeeded with the war in Kor.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty Three

"Well, gang, here we are again." said Ed. "This time we are here for the sheer joy of celebrating our combined victories.

"We thought that we'd start out by going around the table and each of us telling what you feel about the war and how it was handled. I'd like to know if you feel we were successful, or not, and why you feel so. Does anyone want to start off?" asked Ed.

"I'll start," said Lucy. "I'll never forget the day when Ann appeared in my office and gave me an interesting proposition. I'm afraid I was a little skeptical at first, but then miracles began to happen.

"I feel that we accomplished our goals with a minimum loss of life for our soldiers. I think that we were very successful. Gog is dead, the camps are closed and torn down, the poor inmates have been nursed back to a semblance of health and returned to their families. I am very pleased."

"Yes," said Bond, "we have succeeded far beyond my expectations. I marveled at the ease with which our various armies worked together, and supported each other at every juncture. We were four colors, four cultures, and four religions. Yet, I swear to you, I have come to a point where I can't see colors anymore, except as they are an attribute such as black eyes/brown eyes, black hair/brown hair. I have discovered that we are really one people, one heart, with more in common than not. We are brothers, family-each of us unique, yet alike in 98% of our being. I was so proud of all of the Special Forces soldiers and I really came to admire the six women who stepped up and began to heal the poor Emons, Vouns, and Wales."

Miriam then spoke up, "I was surprised at how quickly we were able to raise a large Army, and how generous Adam was with food and sugar beets for all that had need. I greatly admire the strength and integrity of the Wales. When I saw how the Wale prisoners were treated-or rather not treated-and then how they opened their hearts to help others in need, I was just in awe of their strength of heart.

"I believe we definitely have reached the goals we set for ourselves. Especially am I grateful that we no longer have to fear the Selves."

General Patrick then spoke up, "I am so proud of all of the men I fought with. We definitely reached our objectives. When I think of the almost impossible situation that Gog had placed us under, it seems too good to be true that Gog no longer exists, and it really helped that he destroyed his own army, and country, with his own crazy edicts. At the end he had stirred everyone against him, and removing the people's only food was the last straw for the Selves; they turned their back on Gog's orders and the Army dissolved within a single week.

"Also, I want to thank you for inviting me to this ship. I have really enjoyed being a part of your planning, and then the execution of the plans."

"We were glad to have you join us. You made many contributions to the effort, and you are a person of great wisdom. Thank you!" said Ed.

"Well," said Wills, "I appreciated everyone trusting me to be a part of the group. You could have refused to work with a Selve and I would have understood, but instead, you look at me as if I am one of you; you accept me as I am.

"As far as I am concerned, we have very successfully completed our mission. Gog is dead and we are building a new democracy in Selve. The camps are all destroyed, the prisoners sent to their families, and all of the slaves are free. I believe that the first restitution checks will be going out in the mail this Friday AND, I have met the love of my life and am blessed with also being a father to two of the best children in the world."

"Thank you Wills for your kind words. Trev, Julie, and I are also very fortunate to have met you," said Molly. You were an answer to my prayers. I started out with a passion to save Wale lives. I knew genocide was wrong under any conditions and I had warm feelings for the Wale people-I admired them. Now, the slaves are free and the Wales that still are living, have returned home.

"I can be proud of my country again as we are blossoming towards a democracy. Thank you all for freeing my country and removing Gog. Your friend, Tom, is a hero and I will carry a place for him in my heart for the rest of my life. God bless you all."

Tomorrow we learn the secret of how to win your life game...

ALL OF THE FRIENDS GATHER FOR A PARTY

The energynauts gather their friends from all four countries for a final fling in space.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty Three

ED:

Sunday night, after dinner, Glenna, Ann, and I held a council to determine a plan for tomorrow's big party.

I spoke up first, "I thought that I would begin by talking about our loss of Tom, and then asking how they all felt about whether we were successful in meeting our goals. I'd like to know how they feel about whether we were successful in meeting our goals. I'd like to know how they feel about the communication between the four governments, and if they feel that they will be successful in the long run.

"I thought that I would ask each of them to tell us what their most outstanding moments were; what the hardest job they had was, and what the most fulfilling job they did was.

"Afterwards, we will have our feast-except for dessert; that we will have before we take them home. The last thing we do will be to break bread with them and give them our blessings.

"After our meal has settled a while, we will take everyone for a ride in the ship and we can compare how our countries are doing now, as opposed to how they were doing before the war.

"After the trip and our desserts, we will take our guests home and say our final good-byes."

"Are you saying that our work is done?" asked Glenna.

"Yes. I feel it is done, but the final word must come from Albert. I will send him a message tonight and hope that he gets back to us quickly."

"I feel good about your plan, Ed. I really feel that our work is as complete as we can make it, but I dread saying good-bye to our friends. I certainly hope that we can return for a visit some day in the future," said Glenna.

"I'll ask Albert when I next talk to him and see what he says. Personally, I'd really like to keep in touch with Adam. We have shared a lot of sadness and joy together."

The friends decided there was nothing to do at the moment. Glenna and Ann set out all of their food to defrost and then they all went to sleep to be thoroughly rested for tomorrow's rather emotional ups and downs.

In the morning, the ladies set the food on an extremely low setting, and then they were ready to go and get their friends. At 6:58 a.m., Lucy, Glenna, and Ed turned on their invisibility and thought-traveled to meet their friends and colleagues.

Miriam, General Patrick, Bond, Wills, Molly, Trev, and Julie all walked out of Piers and into the surrounding countryside. They were crossing the bridge over a deep ravine, when Trev saw Glenna suddenly appear, about a hundred yards away. They all rushed to meet Glenna, they had missed seeing the ship, having their long discussions, and going for the wonderful flights around Kor.

They all exchanged hugs and greetings, then Glenna had them all hold hands and she turned on the invisibility and thought-traveled back to the ship.

They were the first to return to the ship and they were ecstatic about seeing the ship again.

Meanwhile, Ann set down outside of Delta and walked to Lucy's office. Lucy and Alice were waiting for her, and were wildly excited when she appeared. They made a small circle, became invisible, and then Ann thought-traveled the three of them to the ship. Lucy noticed that the ship had been polished, and as Veral's rays hit her, different colors appeared on the ship's exterior. It was absolutely beautiful.

Ed thought his way to the Armory in Wale. He asked the desk sergeant if General Coleman was in, and he was accompanied by the sergeant to the general's office.

When Adam heard Ed's name announced, he whooped and came to the door to greet him. The men shared a quick hug, and then Ed greeted Lt. Stars and they gave each other a hug and a pat on the back.

"Are you guys ready to see the ship again?"

"You bet," they both chorused. So the three men went for a walk on the now quiet parade ground, joined hands, became invisible, and thought-traveled back to the ship. They were the last to arrive, and they received a joyful welcome.

After everyone was through watching the colors dance on the outside of the ship, Ed opened the hatch and they all climbed aboard.

They did not take their usual seats around the table, because this time, Bond and Lucy sat next to each other, and the rest of the guests adjusted their seats in response. Ed's internal eyebrows went up, but he assumed that it was just a chance happening.

Tomorrow everyone talks about their experiences; the good and the bad, and what they have accomplished.
