A NEW WEB-PAGE FOR "THE GOD GAMES"

Today we will touch for a moment on the progress of  THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor and give you the new URL for the book's website.

On June 26th, the book was launched. I have yet to see the new book itself as I have not received my author's books at this time. I have friends who ran out and found the book and waited the two days it takes to receive the book since she is newly published. They are giving me feed-back as they read it and so far they are recommending it to their friends as a "couldn't put it down" book. I can hardly wait to hold the book in my hands and see if it has a positive spirit or what you do feel as you hold it in your hands. I have found that fascinating books often have a tangible "feeling" or "spirit" that you can feel as you hold it. Please let me know if you experience any feelings when holding the book; let alone while reading the book.

You can now get a look at the book, read a synopsis of it, and hear me read a section from the book on its new web-site at:  http://www.outskirtspress.com/thegodgames

The book is available from "book & mortar" bookstores, although since it is a new book it takes them 2 days to receive the book from the publishers. Or you can buy it on-line from: Barnes & Noble.com; Amazon.com; Kindle.com; or OutskirtsPress.com and they are offering great discounts on the book at this time.

This has been a fascinating process and it has only just begun. Now, the marketing of the book is the next challenge. There are many options for marketing the book but I must move slowly as they all cost money and that is in short supply now; at least until there are a lot of sales of the book and I can use the money earned from those sales to plow back into marketing expenses.

The book is being sold in markets around the world, and in different languages. So far I know it will be translated into French and German editions as well as English, and the best place to find it overseas is at Amazon.com or Kindle.com and have it delivered to your own front door.

Thank you so much for your support over the last year and a half. I am currently working on the prequel, THE GOD GAMES: Heaven & Hell which follows Ann Nelson as she prepares for her new life game and sets up the goals and challenges that she will experience during her next life game on the planet Earth. She discovers that a life game played out on any planet in the Cosmos is Hell; and that Hell is other people. After her new life game is completed and she dies, she returns to Heaven to see if she has won her life game and can remain in Heaven infinitely, or if she must plan for her next life game very quickly. This book is in the revisions stage and should be out in the markets next year at this time.

You can also order THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor from the book's website at http://www.outskirtspress.com/thegodgames

WILLIAM COMES HOME!

On Saturday, June 6th, William was discharged from CHOP. He is much better, except for his ability to talk. His throat was hurt - temporarily - by the tubes that were down his throat for so long and he talks in a whisper for awhile. But he is resting comfortably at home with David. The problem could reappear because they do not know what has caused his illness, but we will live in hope everyday.  He is on steroids to keep it from reoccurring  but that is just a "best-guess" solution. Thank you so much for your continued prayers on his behalf. The Lord has indeed touched William and we are so grateful.

The book, "THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor", is available in bookstores and on the internet. There is a wait of 2-3 days for the book in bookstores and on the internet because it is a print-on-demand book and until the bookstores feel that it is going to be a winner they will not order a stock to put on their shelves. But it is available for you at Barnes & Noble (brick & mortar stores) and on the internet from Barnes & Noble.com, Kindle.com, Amazon.com, and OutskirtsPress.com. Thank you for your support of the book.

Lindsey, my granddaughter whom I had never met before, is here from Iowa. She and William became good friends from the very start and she has helped us to get through this last week. She is a lovely girl and very "up" and sunshiny. She will be with us until Saturday, early morning, then she flies back to Iowa again.

William will be going to Physical Therapy now that he is out of the hospital, and Uncle David's life will be even more complicated for a while. But at least we have our William, and that is all that matters.

Tomorrow I hope to be able to return to a discussion of ideas. Today, I have a touch of the flue bug and need to go back to bed for a while, but I wanted to come to you and tell you of the progress of William and thank you again for all of your prayers and concern. Things are looking up and we are so grateful. Love and blessings to each one of you.

A WEEK'S "VACATION" AT C.H.O.P.

Well, my dear friend, William is much improved. They took him off of the ventilator and took all of the hoses out of his mouth yesterday. He can now whisper and play with his toys. He will still be in the hospital for another week as they continue to try to figure out what the problem is that has made him so sick (bleeding in his lungs).

It is my pleasure to be able to stay with him 24/7 for the next eight days as he regains his strength and they run further tests. Then we will be going back home again. I can write while I am sitting by his bedside and also get caught up on reading. I am not sure if they will have a computer in his room that I can use to keep in touch with you and write this blog, but I can certainly hope that there will be and that I will be able to continue this blog uninterrupted.

If you do not find a new blog posting over the next eight days, please forgive me and I will write to you as soon as I am home again. Thank you so much for your support and prayers for William. Our prayers have been answered except for the prayer that they will find a diagnosis for his condition. This means that we would go home not knowing what to keep our eyes peeled for, and that he could have another attack and end up in the same situation. One thing they will be doing is sending home oxygen which he will use whenever he gets over-tired, or has shortness of breath. The rest we have to leave in the Holy One's hands and have faith that we will be able to catch any problem very quickly.

People are writing to me that they have found the book and several have received their first copies. I am thrilled to see it out there and selling. Soon there will be a press release regarding the book's launch and a PR man will be saturating the editors, reviewers, print media, and internet about the book. It is very exciting and thank you for your support of this project. It is written to you; each of you!

Have a good week and a Happy Fourth of July! May you see gorgeous fireworks and have a real family day. By the way, I love each one of you and gain strength from your support and concern. Thank you!

By the way, the book is being sold around the world at Amazon.com.

SWELLS IN THE WEATHER & IN OUR HEARTS

William made great progress yesterday. He was awake and aware and even played video games. The doctors said that today or tomorrow he will be moved to the eighth floor; the pulmonary floor. He will probably be in the hospital for another week.

Still no answer as to what his diagnosis is, but hopefully they will have answers before he leaves the hospital. That is our dearest prayer now.

Today I will be going back to the hospital and hope I can maintain my strength and continue to get well as I spend time with William.

I want to thank you for all of your prayers. They are definitely working, praise the Holy One!

I won't know for a month how many books are being sold as they only post your sales once a month. But people are telling me that they are buying copies; so I am very grateful and excited.

Sorry to make this so short today but we have to get an early start on the road. I will give you an update tomorrow morning. Thank you again for your support.

THE SKIES ARE GRAY, BUT OUR HEARTS ARE SUNNY

It is raining everyday here in Atlantic City and also in Philadelphia. Travel to and fro has caused us to be stuck in outrageous downpours each day. William continues to improve. They have ruled out Pulmonary Hypertension and many other possible diagnosis, but they have not found what it is that caused William to almost die. So many tests are being done but everyone comes back negative. It is critical that the doctors find the cause for William's bleeding in his lungs or we will be faced with repeat performances of his near-death experience. The only options left are that he has an extremely rare and devastating auto-immune disorder.

In the meantime William continues to improve. Yesterday, they left his right hand free of strap boards and being tied down to the edge of the bed and he can now hold his stuffed doggie and two of his wrestling men. He communicates by slight movements of his head and his right arm, but he is still intubated and has tubes and wires coming from all parts of his body. He is still on a ventillator that is helping him to breath and has nurses and doctors in his room 24/7. His cousin, Lindsey, stays by his side each day and has really been a big help to us. She is an awesome young lady who plans to enter the Peace Corp and go to Africa to help build wells and teach agricultural practices. Then she plans to go to college and get a degree. She is a very serious young lady, but a lot of fun. She takes everything in stride and is almost always very positive.

I am very tired and have a touch of flue that I am going to fight the next two days. I can't go to see William with the flue so I will be stuck at home and hopefully get a lot of work done. Then the doctors say that William will be in the hospital another week and a half to two weeks. David, his uncle and guardian, works a few hours in the morning and then off to Philly again to see William. He is such a dedicated Uncle; I am very proud of his parenting skills.

On the subject of the book, it is being sold in Europe and the United Kingdom, and other places around the globe, and many people here in the U.S. are buying up many copies to give as gifts. I am wildly excited and very grateful to all of you for supporting the book, "THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor". She is on sale on Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and the Outskirts Press.com. Because it is a new book, it takes a couple of days to be printed and distributed, but the e-book form is available immediately on the aforementioned services for a mere $2.99.

Boy, I appreciate being able to talk to you about William's condition and also the book sales. Your prayers have kept William alive and improving and now we are praying for the doctors to be able to reach an answer as to what his problems really are. Thank you for your faith and understanding; your concern keeps us going and keeps faith alive in us. Our greatest fear right now is that they will not find an answer to William's problem, that they will send him home with no answers, and that the problem will recur and we have no way to know what to watch for, and he gets bad quickly again.

We now know that he will have to have home oxygen so that when he gets tired, or feeling sick, we can put him on oxygen right away.

Thank you for listening to my ramblings. Tomorrow we will talk about a new subject: Summer at the Jersey Shore. Until then, thank you so much for your constant support of our situation with William, and the launching of the new book. I really love and appreciate you for your kindness and love.

Sorry that this post has problems with viewing, I have been working on her and I can't get her to look right once I publish her.

WONDER OF WONDERS; MIRACLE OF MIRACLES

My dear friends, We have great news to rejoice in today. William was taken off of the paralitic and he is responding to us by nodding and shaking his head. He actually played with a video game for three minutes before he was too tired to go on. It was a miracle to us. After his having been resuscitated and no good prognosis for several days, he is awake and aware. Still on a lot of sedation and with some procedures still ahead of him; today a cardiac cath to make sure that there are still no bleeding from the colateral veins from his heart to his lungs. The doctors have yet to determine what his real issue is and why he is bleeding in his lungs. They are researching and doing uncountable tests to rule out auto-immune diseases, and figure out just what his basic problem is. William is stoic and only the worst pain shows on his face. Thank you for your prayers; they worked. Heavenly Father has definitely blessed him.

This will be short today because we are leaving early for the hospital, but I wanted you to know that another prayer of mine has been answered. My granddaughter, Lindsey Hirsch, arrived in Atlantic City from Belle Plaine, Iowa. I had only met her for 2 hours when she was about 8 years old and we were traveling through Iowa to get to New Jersey (kind of a side-trip). I have been praying to get to know her all of these years, and now that she is 18 she has come on her own. She has such a tender heart and such a desire to get to know her family. She is a real blessing at this particular time of our lives. William responded to her like she had always been in his life.

No word yet on how many books have been sold, but many people have been telling us that they are buying one. The book has been accepted for publishing overseas in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, so far. Thank you for all of your positive thoughts about the book. I really appreciate your support

Until tomorrow, have a great day, and great weather. Thank you again for your prayers and concern for William.

"THE GOD GAMES" IS LAUNCHED

Happy news today on two fronts.

Yesterday I got word from my publisher that "THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor", is published and can be found in Barnes & Noble Stores, other brick & mortar stores, Barnes & Noble.com, Amazon.com, OutskirtsPress.com, and Kindle.com

I see various prices at the different locations, I imagine because of different sales and promotions. I hope that you will enjoy the read. You can hear me reading an excerpt on my new website at: http://www.outskirtspress.com/thegodgames

Thank you for all of your support over the last three years we have been together on this blog. I could not have reached this goal without the support of each one of you.

Now, the really exciting news! Yesterday evening William nodded his head in answer to a question we asked him and he squeezed our fingers. This is the first time that we have seen him move anything since Sunday. We are rejoicing today and want to thank you for your prayers. He is still critical and there has been no decision made as to what caused his lungs to bleed in the first place. We would appreciate your prayers and we are asking Heavenly Father to guide his doctors and to bring the answers into their consciousness. But, we all feel that William is going to make it and grow strong again. Thank you again.
