TOM SEES THE DEATH CAMPS & MEETS WILLS HADDON

Today we follow Tom on his first adventure as he sees the actual death camps which bring back such terrible memories for him and makes him physically ill.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Five
TOM:

"I thought that I was back in 1940s Germany," said Tom.

When I first left the ship I was involved in studying my surroundings, but when I came around the mountains, I saw a concentration camp that was filled with Wales that were carrying heavy rocks, or in the process of splitting rocks. They were dressed in striped clothes with a yellow hexagram on their collars, and they were being guarded by Selve soldiers who trained guns on them. I heard soul wrenching screams and cries coming from inside of the barracks; there were rows of roughly-made buildings stretching out for a quarter of a mile. When I came to the end of the camp, I saw it.

Two great grey crematoriums with smokestacks billowing blackish-brown smoke. There was no attempt to disguise their function. I could see carts filled with corpses-men, women, and children-rolling towards the entrance doors.

Shaken and heartsick, I continued walking and came across other camps less formidable and holding a mixture of Emons and Vouns. They were dressed in green uniforms and were working using a pick in the mountain tunnels, or sorting the gold ore to go to the huge millhouses that were nestled close to the mountains.

I increased my speed and soon reached the Glandis River. Here, I sat on a rock for a moment, but could not find the appetite for the lunch I had brought. Horrible memories came crashing down on me; it was the Holocaust all over again and I mourned for the family and friends I had lost; an entire people wiped out because of the mental illness and delusions of one mad man. Hitler and Gog; they were two brothers in mind and spirit.

I prayed that I would be led to Wills as quickly as possible and I felt compelled to walk north. The land was beautiful with tall pines and streams filled with trout. I had no heart to really appreciate the beauty around me, but one thing was good, and that was that I could feel I was getting closer to Wills.

I turned my invisibility off and looked like a Selve. Suddenly a man in camouflage was standing in front of me with a rifle pointed at my heart.

"Where do you come from stranger?" asked the man in camouflage.

"What are you doing here? What is your business?

"My name is Tom, and I am searching for a man named Wills."

Suddenly, I realized that I was surrounded by Selves in camouflage, all holding automatic weapons. I immediately pushed the "invisible" button with the back of my arm, and thought myself into a tree above them. The men were scrambling all over themselves trying to find me, so I said to them, "Hello, do not be afraid, my name is Tom and I come in search of a young man named Wills."

"Where are you?" yelled a man who seemed to be the leader.

"Up above you, but don't try to capture me, I will just disappear again."

"Well, you've found me; I'm Wills, but where are you from, and what do you want with me?"

"I have come from a galaxy far away from Kor and have been sent by ONE, to help you in your goal of defeating Gog and returning your land to a democracy."

With this said, I thought myself to stand in front of Wills and hit my invisibility button again to make myself visible to him. We stood eye to eye and sized each other up. Wills was also tall and slender, but he was more muscular than I. His eyes smiled and he stuck out his hand to shake mine in greeting.

"Wow! Isn't this something," said Wills, "I had a dream the other night that a stranger would come to offer our group a helping hand. Maybe you are that person?"

"Yes, I am that person. I have come to Kor with three friends; Ed, Glenna, and Ann and we are each assigned to a leader of the resistance movements in all four of Kor's countries. We are to listen to you, your people, and your prayers, and then decide how best to help you win your war against Gog, and we must let you make all the choices. We also need to enlist your aid to free the Wales, Emons, and Vouns from their concentration camps, that seems to me to be a number one priority."

"Are you against Gog's methods?"

"Yes, he cannot keep hurting people."

"Well, Tom, if you are who you say you are, then I will soon know it. I trust my instincts, and run with what I feel. But right now we need to get out of here and get back to camp. You are coming with us!"

Tomorrow Tom gets a look at Wills camp and they discuss why the energynauts have come to Kor.
