Well, my dear friend, William is much improved. They took him off of the ventilator and took all of the hoses out of his mouth yesterday. He can now whisper and play with his toys. He will still be in the hospital for another week as they continue to try to figure out what the problem is that has made him so sick (bleeding in his lungs).
It is my pleasure to be able to stay with him 24/7 for the next eight days as he regains his strength and they run further tests. Then we will be going back home again. I can write while I am sitting by his bedside and also get caught up on reading. I am not sure if they will have a computer in his room that I can use to keep in touch with you and write this blog, but I can certainly hope that there will be and that I will be able to continue this blog uninterrupted.
If you do not find a new blog posting over the next eight days, please forgive me and I will write to you as soon as I am home again. Thank you so much for your support and prayers for William. Our prayers have been answered except for the prayer that they will find a diagnosis for his condition. This means that we would go home not knowing what to keep our eyes peeled for, and that he could have another attack and end up in the same situation. One thing they will be doing is sending home oxygen which he will use whenever he gets over-tired, or has shortness of breath. The rest we have to leave in the Holy One's hands and have faith that we will be able to catch any problem very quickly.
People are writing to me that they have found the book and several have received their first copies. I am thrilled to see it out there and selling. Soon there will be a press release regarding the book's launch and a PR man will be saturating the editors, reviewers, print media, and internet about the book. It is very exciting and thank you for your support of this project. It is written to you; each of you!
Have a good week and a Happy Fourth of July! May you see gorgeous fireworks and have a real family day. By the way, I love each one of you and gain strength from your support and concern. Thank you!
By the way, the book is being sold around the world at Amazon.com.
