On Saturday, June 6th, William was discharged from CHOP. He is much better, except for his ability to talk. His throat was hurt - temporarily - by the tubes that were down his throat for so long and he talks in a whisper for awhile. But he is resting comfortably at home with David. The problem could reappear because they do not know what has caused his illness, but we will live in hope everyday. He is on steroids to keep it from reoccurring but that is just a "best-guess" solution. Thank you so much for your continued prayers on his behalf. The Lord has indeed touched William and we are so grateful.
The book, "THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor", is available in bookstores and on the internet. There is a wait of 2-3 days for the book in bookstores and on the internet because it is a print-on-demand book and until the bookstores feel that it is going to be a winner they will not order a stock to put on their shelves. But it is available for you at Barnes & Noble (brick & mortar stores) and on the internet from Barnes & Noble.com, Kindle.com, Amazon.com, and OutskirtsPress.com. Thank you for your support of the book.
Lindsey, my granddaughter whom I had never met before, is here from Iowa. She and William became good friends from the very start and she has helped us to get through this last week. She is a lovely girl and very "up" and sunshiny. She will be with us until Saturday, early morning, then she flies back to Iowa again.
William will be going to Physical Therapy now that he is out of the hospital, and Uncle David's life will be even more complicated for a while. But at least we have our William, and that is all that matters.
Tomorrow I hope to be able to return to a discussion of ideas. Today, I have a touch of the flue bug and need to go back to bed for a while, but I wanted to come to you and tell you of the progress of William and thank you again for all of your prayers and concern. Things are looking up and we are so grateful. Love and blessings to each one of you.
