It is raining everyday here in Atlantic City and also in Philadelphia. Travel to and fro has caused us to be stuck in outrageous downpours each day. William continues to improve. They have ruled out Pulmonary Hypertension and many other possible diagnosis, but they have not found what it is that caused William to almost die. So many tests are being done but everyone comes back negative. It is critical that the doctors find the cause for William's bleeding in his lungs or we will be faced with repeat performances of his near-death experience. The only options left are that he has an extremely rare and devastating auto-immune disorder.
In the meantime William continues to improve. Yesterday, they left his right hand free of strap boards and being tied down to the edge of the bed and he can now hold his stuffed doggie and two of his wrestling men. He communicates by slight movements of his head and his right arm, but he is still intubated and has tubes and wires coming from all parts of his body. He is still on a ventillator that is helping him to breath and has nurses and doctors in his room 24/7. His cousin, Lindsey, stays by his side each day and has really been a big help to us. She is an awesome young lady who plans to enter the Peace Corp and go to Africa to help build wells and teach agricultural practices. Then she plans to go to college and get a degree. She is a very serious young lady, but a lot of fun. She takes everything in stride and is almost always very positive.
I am very tired and have a touch of flue that I am going to fight the next two days. I can't go to see William with the flue so I will be stuck at home and hopefully get a lot of work done. Then the doctors say that William will be in the hospital another week and a half to two weeks. David, his uncle and guardian, works a few hours in the morning and then off to Philly again to see William. He is such a dedicated Uncle; I am very proud of his parenting skills.
On the subject of the book, it is being sold in Europe and the United Kingdom, and other places around the globe, and many people here in the U.S. are buying up many copies to give as gifts. I am wildly excited and very grateful to all of you for supporting the book, "THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor". She is on sale on Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and the Outskirts Press.com. Because it is a new book, it takes a couple of days to be printed and distributed, but the e-book form is available immediately on the aforementioned services for a mere $2.99.
Boy, I appreciate being able to talk to you about William's condition and also the book sales. Your prayers have kept William alive and improving and now we are praying for the doctors to be able to reach an answer as to what his problems really are. Thank you for your faith and understanding; your concern keeps us going and keeps faith alive in us. Our greatest fear right now is that they will not find an answer to William's problem, that they will send him home with no answers, and that the problem will recur and we have no way to know what to watch for, and he gets bad quickly again.
We now know that he will have to have home oxygen so that when he gets tired, or feeling sick, we can put him on oxygen right away.
Thank you for listening to my ramblings. Tomorrow we will talk about a new subject: Summer at the Jersey Shore. Until then, thank you so much for your constant support of our situation with William, and the launching of the new book. I really love and appreciate you for your kindness and love.
Sorry that this post has problems with viewing, I have been working on her and I can't get her to look right once I publish her.
