I am so sorry that I have not written in the last week. We seem to be in an area of supreme stress. William was again life-flighted to Philadelphia's CHOP Hospital after catching a cold with a cough that I am afraid he got from me. I have been fighting a bad cough for about two weeks and was on a simple antibiotic that did not do the trick. I thought I was getting better and volunteered to watch William for the weekend so that David could get some rest. Well, that back-fired on us. William picked up my cold and it went straight to his lungs. On Wednesday morning William woke up sick and having trouble breathing. David took him to Atlantic City Hospital to be checked and they life-flighted him right away back to CHOP. He is not in as serious condition as he was last month. He is talking and is asking for food to eat. The Prednisone he is taking to try to avert this problem with his lungs, is also giving him a big appetite, which he needs because he is so thin now.
I cannot go and visit William for some time, until I lose my current cough and bronchitis. And from this day forward, we cannot let anyone with a cold get around him; including myself if I cannot shake this cough. I am scared at this point because it seems William is very fragile still and I am glad this is happening now in the summer when we do not have to deal with school. Hopefully they will be able to discover what is wrong with him before school starts again.
The book seems to be doing well although I have no statistics on its sale yet; that will take about 30 days to start showing up. People are beginning to give me feed-back and so far I have not heard anything negative. I have begun to receive requests for a copy of the book from book reviewers and I am busy sending them off.
Lindsey left for Iowa on Saturday early morning. She seemed to have had a good time, but we have not heard from her yet. I think we wore her out.
Well, I guess that I will go back to bed and try to get rid of my chest cold before William comes home. I love him so much and I will do anything I have to do to be able to spend time with him. Thank you so much for your prayers and concern for William, they really help him out.
