Writing from the Ritz of Atlantic City on a foggy, rain-whipped day...
Today we attend Wills' and Molly's wedding and see the URA leaders leave Selve for their respective homes.
THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Twenty One
General Coleman looked around the circle of his new friends and each one of them gave him the nod.
General Coleman turned to General Washburn and responded, "It is the agreement of all of us together that we shall be happy to return home, but we will miss you and all of the Selve people.
"We have determined that each of our countries will maintain a standing Navy and Army to act as a deterrent so that we will never have to go to war again.
"There will be memorials built in each of our capitals for those we have lost to genocide, slavery, or torture. The legacy of Gog is eternal vilification because of the pain he cost to all of Kor and to the Universe.
"We leave you in peace and with our respect; and let me say that Wills Haddon is a real treasure for you.
"Take care, our friend, and we shall leave right after Molly's and Wills' wedding, tomorrow night. We'll leave the following morning, as soon as Veral rises."
General Washburn stood and shook General Coleman's hand, then he shook the hands of the other Korians and wished them all the best fortunes for their future. He invited them to send an Ambassador from each of their countries to Selve, to set up an embassy, and to take part in Selve's new growth.
The next day was called "Wills Haddon Day" in Selve. Wills had made many friends in the short time he had ruled Selve, and everyone wanted to thank him for saving their lives and the government's future.
Molly was given a makeover and a wedding gown by "The House of Beauty Eternal," and "The Children's Closet" gave Trev and Julie outfits to wear for the wedding. At 3:00 p.m. there was a wedding parade down the main street of Mano with Wills, Molly, Trev and Julie on a special wedding float. There were marching bands and clowns, and after the parade, everyone in the audience received a specially made box of Selve chocolates. It was a day of many celebrations, none greater than the joy in the hearts of the newly formed Haddon Family.
When 6:00 p.m., came, it found Wills, Molly, Trev and Julie in a special room in Burgess Hall, that was decorated in Red and Gold bunting. Ed had been asked to marry Wills and Molly, which he did with joy, and he created a ceremony where Trev and Julie were bonded to Wills and Molly during the wedding vows. The four of them had bonded early on, after the surprise attack of Gog's soldiers on Wills SRM soldiers, at the start of the war.
General Coleman, General Oates, General Patrick, and General Washburn and his wife, attended the wedding and sent the new family off on a vacation to Piers, the Capital of Voun. They had all wanted to see the salt building and swim in Plange Bay.
Early the next morning, Generals Coleman, Oates, and Patrick were able to borrow a car and set off for Voun, then Wales, and then Emon. They took their time, intent on enjoying some of the scenery of the countries they had only seen during the war. They had become very close during the months they served together; they had often been willing to give their lives for each other, and now they felt a great brotherhood. They may have different colored skins, but their hearts and minds were sealed with love and honor.
When they came to Voun, Bond was waiting for General Patrick at the Salis River. They were glad to see each other and all of the men had a special picnic sitting on the shore of the river.
Tomorrow we see the close of operations for the URA, as the Generals return to their own homes.
