Glenna teaches Ann how to reach out and touch her family and friends so they will be comforted and know that she still loves them.
THE GOD GAMES: Heaven & Hell...Chapter Forty Four
Glenna touched another button and Jared's family came into view. Jared had retired from the Coast Guard and had his own business repairing computers and other hardware. He lived in La mesa, California with Shannon, who was a well-known writer of fantasy books. Drake had grown up with the ability to manage his own life with great success and was a whiz at the computer. He was not yet "going steady," but he had many women friends. David J. had grown into quite an amusing person and had taken up freelance writing. Phoebe was in graduate school to receive a doctorate. Jared and Shannon also had a house in Michigan that they rented to Shannon's mother.
"Glenna," I said, "it looks as if they are all doing well for themselves, should I try to intrude into their lives at this moment?"
"Well, they all have an empty spot in their hearts to have you gone and it would empower their lives to find that you are happy and all right."
"So, should I enter their dimension and interact with them?"
"Yes."
After saying that, Glenna put down the remote and began to tell me about the ease with which we can manipulate the dimensions to do what we need to get done.
I could see that all was well with my family and I could not see any reason to disturb their lives by letting them know of my presence, but suddenly I could see that there was a dark side to their lives and that they could feel better knowing about the way that Heaven worked; by knowing that their mother/grandmother was alive and well, and was happy and full of love for them.
"Now," said Glenna, "now is the time to be alert to them and their need to see you. Reach out in your mind and tell each one of them that you love them."
I pictured each person in the family and then I sent love to them. I noticed that each person acted as though someone had touched them, and each person sent back a message that they loved me too. It was true that they could feel our love as something tangible. Love is the strongest force in the universe and love rides a line that cannot be broken, but only becomes stronger with heartache and pain. I could see that all of my family had hearts that were tender and malleable, and I rejoiced.
"Now," said Glenna, "the next step is to take my hand and think of one of your children. Then we are going to think and be with that child."
"Well, how about Charlie, how is he taking my passing?" I asked.
"Charlie has a very sore heart. He has always been the most sensitive of all of your children and he misses talking to you on the phone; talk to him now and see his response."
I thought of Charlie and my love for him and I thought about being next to him. Then I was next to him, sitting in his car with him as he went to work. I kissed him on the cheek and he brushed it off. Then he said, "Mom, mom, is it you? Are you visiting me? This is great, only no one will believe me!"
I thought back that it is not necessary for anyone else to believe, only for him to know. I suggested to him that other members of the family would be having their own "meeting" with me and that all of you would be assured of my love. I told him that I would always be near to him whenever he needed me, and then I told him again that I loved him very much.
Charlie grinned big and seemed to be a lot happier. I hoped that he would make the connection that there really is a Heaven and that I would be seeing him again one day.
While we were in Iowa, I looked in on Lindsey and saw that she was a very conscientious young lady. I decided to try appearing to her as a little bird as she got her morning newspaper. She greeted the little bird and talked to it while she gathered up the paper. I saw her look into the sky and say, "Grandma, is that you sending a little bird? Most birds stay away from making direct contact with you, but this little bird looks like it has a message. Are you sending love my way grandma? Thank you so much!" We went to the University of Iowa and found Mark in an English Literature class. I bent over him and told him how proud I was of him and he grinned.
Tomorrow is philosophy day and I will be talking off the cuff.
