Today we find Ed visiting General Coleman to tell him of the upcoming meeting on the space ship and then explaining the principles of thought-travel.
THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Ten
ED:
I left the ship at 6:59 a.m. and arrived outside the armory at precisely 7:00 a.m. It was a beautiful day and I hoped all would go well with my meeting with Adam.
I entered the headquarters building and asked the Sergeant at the desk if he would announce my arrival to General Coleman.
When I was ushered into Adam's office, I was surprised to see the big man already hard at work on a stack of memos from the field.
"Good morning, son," said Adam as he saluted and then reached across the desk to shake my hand.
"Good morning to you, sir," I said, as I saluted him, then shook his hand. "How are you feeling today?"
"Very well son, top of my game, really. I've been sitting here waiting for you and I must say that you do exactly as you say you will. I like that.
"What news do you have for me?"
"My friends were all very successful at meeting with the other leaders of the resistance movements: Wills Haddon, of the SRM; Miriam Lofts, of the VRM; and Lucy Prism, of the ERM. Everyone agreed that we should combine our forces against Gog and the Selvean Army.
"We are all going to meet at the space ship tomorrow, and have a day-long conference on how to join our forces and work together to defeat Gog.
"Will you be able to join us, Sir?"
"Yes. Definitely. Now, how do I get to your ship?"
"I will be here tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. and I will take you, and also your second-in-command to the ship. We will join hands and then we'll use invisibility and thought-travel to get to the ship."
"Whoa there a minute! How is this going to happen? Thought-travel?
"Not to worry sir, there is nothing you have to worry about. You won't have to do anything, and it will all be over in a minute. I'll take care of the entire procedure.
"Now, as to your questions regarding thought-travel: I think of where I am going to, say the ship, and use the auto-GPS on my operational belt, which is fed by energy from my own brain. My brain has the logic to be able to remember the exact coordinates of wherever I have been in my past. Every moment of our life is labeled and stored in our brains by longitude, latitude, dimension, and time.
"We do this so that we will be able to get a fix on any particular second we want to access in our past or in our future.
"For any place that you want to go in the Cosmos, that you have never been to before, the coordinates for that point are kept in books and on the Internet for anyone to access freely.
"Once the auto-GPS has received the coordinates from my brain, all I have to do is push the "travel" button and because I am what I am, i.e., pure energy, with a will and a brain, I and anything I am touching can instantly arrive-traveling at the speed of light-wherever the auto-GPS has been programmed to go.
"OK, I'll trust you . Do I need to bring anything besides my secondhand man, Lieutenant Stars?"
"We will need an inventory of your weapons, troops, vehicles and animals; an inventory of your rations, medical supplies, tools, and salt; and a list of questions you'd like us to answer."
"I will get my men to take the inventories today, and I will draft a list of the questions I, and my men, have been asking ourselves. We will be ready for you by 7:00 a.m. I can hardly wait to meet everyone and see your ship.
"Would you like to take a look around my base, while you're here today?"
"Yes! I would really appreciate a tour. I've been thinking about possibly using your base here as the main base for our combined forces. What would you think of that?"
"Good idea. We are set up here to train the men and I can make room in the officer's quarters for the officers from the other armies.
"We have plenty of food and supplies for the men who would be coming. Do you think the others will feel comfortable with such a plan?"
"I don't really know. We haven't even brought up the subject between my friends and I. When I saw the base this morning it just occurred to me that it would be perfect to center our troops here, and I thought I'd ask your opinion first."
"Well, I like your plan, and I will ask the other leaders to come here, when we have our conference."
Tomorrow Ed ends his visit with General Coleman and Glenna tells of her visit with Miriam Lofts.
