GLENNA TAKES THE GOOD NEWS TO VOUN

Today we follow Ed as he concludes his visit to Wale and find Glenna explaining to Miriam about the proposed visit to the spaceship on the next day.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Ten

ED:

"That would be splendid," I said. (Using the Wale Armory as a base for all of the armies.)

Adam showed me the barracks and officer's quarters, the parade grounds, the gun range, and the mess hall. I could see that whoever had built the armory had planned ahead for a greater population of soldiers than Adam currently had. We agreed that Adam could handle another 1,000 soldiers right away if he had to; and if he brought the other armies' Special Forces soldiers in-at the rate of 500 per Army-in phases a week apart, all of the soldiers could be trained and organized within two weeks. There would be a total of 4,000 Special Forces soldiers and officers to attack the concentration camps.

After touring the base, Adam took me through the line in the mess hall. We had a delicious lunch of fried sea bass, baked squash, garden salad, fresh bread with butter, and apple pie.

We walked back to Adam's office after lunch and after a quick round of rye, we said our goodbyes and I decided to hike back to the Specto River before returning to the ship.

By the time I arrived back at the ship, Tom and Ann had finished inventorying the ship, so Glenna and I prepared our dinner.

GLENNA:

I had been really looking forward to going to Voun again, and seeing Miriam. She was so strong and intelligent, and I had judged her to be a person I wanted to have as a friend.

At the crack of dawn, I thought-traveled to the Voun' flower-covered mountain, where I had met Miriam on my previous visit; just a short distance west of Piers. I sat on a rock and drank in the beauty of the Voun countryside.

At 7:00 a.m. sharp, I saw Miriam walking over a small bridge that crossed a deep ravine. She smiled and waved, and I stood up and walked toward her. We hugged each other, and I told her how grateful I was that she was here to meet me.

We sat on some moss-covered rocks and spent some time discussing the flora and fauna of Voun. Miriam loved her country very much.

"Well, I am very curious to hear the news you have for me. What's going on?" asked Miriam.

"My friends and I had a meeting once we all got back to the ship. Everyone of us was excited by the stories we had lived, and one by one we told our stories to each other. One thing that was very clear was that all the leaders of the resistance movements, and the Walean Army, wanted to work with each other and establish one Resistance Army. The goal of all four groups was to rid Selve of Gog and his doctrines.

"We have decided that all of us will meet at the ship tomorrow and have a conference; decide what steps we must take to organize our troops; and how to attack Gog and the Selvean Army."

"How will we find the ship?" asked Miriam.

"I will meet you and your right-hand man..."

"His name is Bond Boyd."

"Then I will meet you and Bond tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m., right here where we are now sitting. We will hold hands and then I will turn on the invisibility to hide us, and we will thought-travel to the ship. It will only take about a minute to make the entire trip."

"What, if anything, do we need to bring with us tomorrow?" asked Miriam.

"We will need an inventory of your weapons, troops, vehicles, and animals; an inventory of your rations, medical supplies, tools, and salt; and a list of any questions you'd like to ask us while you're there."

"What should we wear?"

"Just be comfortable; wear loose, warm clothing and bring anything personal you might need."

"What are the names of the other leaders from Kor?"

"Adam Coleman and his officer from the Walean Army; Wills Haddon and his Lieutenant from the Selve Resistance Movement; and Lucy Prism and her second-in-command, Alice Almon, from the Emon Resistance Movement. They are all very fine people and we all have similar goals for Kor."

"Well, in that case, I can hardly wait for tomorrow to come. Bond and I will be waiting for you here, at 7:00 a.m."

"I should be here on time and we will join the others and share our stories. Then we will make plans for attacking Gog; if that is your choice. I am so glad you will be a part of us."

"I am grateful for the opportunity to join with all of the forces. Thank you very much for coming to us."

I gave Miriam a hug goodbye, and then I turned on my invisibility and thought my way back to the ship.

Tomorrow we follow the four energynauts as they gather their charges and take them back to the space ship.
