The energynauts and the Korian leaders make a battle plan.
THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Eleven
Lucy said she had recruited 2,000 men and they were stationed across Emon, primarily around the University area.
Miriam said that she also had 2,000 well-trained men. They had been trained to be guerrilla fighters and were tracking Gog's men who had been entering Voun and attacking the people.
Wills said that he had approximately 1,000 men; 10 on the base with him, 500 men on guard duty and 500 stalking the Selve soldiers and using guerrilla tactics and terror to diminish their numbers.
Each of the leaders felt that they could recruit more soldiers in an instant if their countrymen felt they could win the war.
"Where will our outposts be?" asked Miriam.
"Wherever there is fear in your country there will be a post. We will have all the roads guarded also, and the capital of your country will be infiltrated with troops," said General Coleman.
"We will also be recruiting for young soldiers in every country."
How many weapons do we have? asked Wills. "I have 3,000 weapons and the number is growing because we confiscate the guns of the soldiers we kill.
"Wait a moment folks," said Tom, "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, or we may not get all of our subjects addressed in the short span of time we have today."
"Ed, would you go over the subjects we want to cover today so that we can all be on the same page?"
"Sure.
"My friends, I believe we need to start at the top, with goals. What are the most important goals that we have?"
Ed then pulled down a writing board from the ceiling to write their answers on.
"Assassinate Gog!" said eight voices in unison.
"Yes. Our first goal is to kill Gog," said General Coleman.
There was a passionate round of clapping and yahoos. Ed wrote "Defeat Gog" on the board.
Our second goal should be to free the captives and slaves and destroy the internment camps!" Tom blurted out. "I, myself, cannot sleep at night knowing how many people are dying: today, tonight, tomorrow; every instant. We must demolish these camps, those crematoriums, TODAY!
"I'm sorry I spoke out of turn, but this is consuming me," Tom cried humbly.
"We understand Tom, we feel the same. Our friends, our relatives, are in those camps; if they are alive at all," chorused all of the Korians.
"Perhaps we could attack the camps and release the prisoners, and then they can help in the war effort," suggested Lieutenant Stars.
"I like that," said Lucy, "but I expect that most of the prisoners are in pretty bad shape, and I can lead the women in caring for them, and helping them get back to their own homes. I am sure that among them a man with any strength will want to fight against Gog."
"I offer my 1,000 soldiers for a Special Task Forces unit for an attack on the camps," offered Wills.
"I can offer 1,000 soldiers for such an attack also," replied Miriam.
"I can pull 1,000 men from their current duties and that will make 3,000 men for a Special Forces unit to capture the camps.
"Lucy, can you spare any of your soldiers for the Special Forces? asked General Coleman.
"Yes, I believe that I can also send 1,000 soldiers for the Special Forces," replied Lucy.
"So we have a total of 4,000 soldiers for our Special Forces unit. Let me suggest that each of you send your soldiers to General Coleman's armory as quickly as possible and use the rest of your men to guard your frontiers." summarized Lucy.
"General Coleman, how quickly can you get the soldiers organized and ready to go?" asked Ed
"About two weeks after receiving all the men, they will be charged up and eager to attack Gog's soldiers in the camps, so I won't have any trouble with motivation," said General Coleman.
"OK, that takes care of our first mission, now what should we cover next?" questioned Tom.
Tomorrow we see how the plans for assassinating Gog progress, and make plans for increasing the Korian's number of weapons.
