MIRIAM INSTRUCTS HER GENERALS IN WAR

Today we join Miriam as she gives a pep talk to her generals and rouses their fighting spirit.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Fourteen

GLENNA:

"How do I look?" asked Miriam.

"Very professional and very pretty also," I answered.

"Thank you so much."

We were off down the long halls until we arrived at a small auditorium. There, we arranged a table and set up for the meeting. Then Miriam read me her radio speech.

At 10 p.m., the top five generals in the Voun Army made their appearance, greeted Miriam solemnly, and introduced themselves to me. I sat over on the right side of the room and prepared to give Miriam my full attention.

"Welcome my dear friends, you met Glenna as you came in. She is a special counselor to me; my right-hand person.

"As you may have heard rumors, let me put things bluntly. We are at war with Gog and his army. Our allies are the Emons, the Wales, and the Selve underground Resistance Movement headed by Wills Haddon.

"We have three fronts to this war: first, there will be 4,000 of our mixed soldiers and officers that will be forming a Special Task Force to attack Gog's soldiers at the concentration and internment camps, and free the prisoners and slaves. They are being trained at the Wale armory.

"Secondly, before that commences, a special attachment will assassinate Gog in his bed, and when that is accomplished, a signal will be given and we will attack the camps.

"Thirdly, at the same signal, soldiers on the Emon and Voun borders with Selve, will march on Mano destroying any Selvean troops that they meet.

"General Alps, you are in command of our soldiers as they attack the internment camps; General Lepps, you are in charge of training what we hope will be at least 3,000 soldiers, and 120 officers, who volunteer after my speech tonight; General Drang, you will spread 2,500 men along the ocean boundaries of Voun and command them; General Wells, you will spread 1,500 men along the Mandel River. Starting a week from Monday, General Drang and General Wells you will begin to march your men to the border of Selve, searching for Selvean soldiers and killing and destroying the soldiers and their plans.

"Finally, General Patrick, you will be commander-in-chief for all Voun operations; from our first steps, to our last.

"I will be able to give you more information after I hear the results of my speech tonight and see what effects it causes, but General Alps, your work begins today as you prepare the 1,000 soldiers and 40 officers, that you will choose, to be on the Special Forces team. They need to be at the Wale armory by Saturday evening.

"General Lepps, you will need to coordinate, with Bond Boyd, the use of some of the salt-mine trucks to transport the Selve underground from our borders and on into Wale and the armory. Bond will be bringing the trucks back right away so that we can use them to transport our soldiers to the armory by Saturday night.

"Are there any questions?"

"Who decided all of these plans?" asked General Patrick.

"There is a 12 person team made up of Adam Coleman and Lieutenant Ted Stars of Wale; Lucy Prism and her secretary, Alice Almon of Emon; myself and Bond Boyd; Wills Haddon and Molly Gilbert from the SRM; and our friends from the Cosmos, the energynauts Thomas and Glenna Boyle, and Ed and Ann Nelson. We have been meeting at a secret location to iron out our treaties and make an all-over general plan of assault against Gog and his army."

"We have had faith in you for many generations, Dr. Lofts. You have led our country to peace and plenty, and it has only been in the last years that Gog has gotten so out of hand!" commented General Alps.

"I beg to differ! Gog has been killing and raping our countrymen for 10 years now, and we have always had to look out for slavery forages from Selve. I say, GREAT! It is about time we united and faced down Gog." shouted General Drang.

"I think you have made very cohesive plans, but now it is in our hands to implement those plans," remarked General Wells.

"Well, I agree with all of you, and I have a lot of work to do to get ready to flash-train 3,000 new soldiers and officers. I suggest we all agree to agree and begin to prepare ourselves for our tasks," said General Lepp.

"I thank each one of you gentleman for your support and quick grasp of the circumstances. Now, let us close our meeting and begin to ponder our fates and duties. I will be in my office, or the court room, or my own home, and I may be reached at any hour of the day or night. I am committed to this plan of action and believe that we shall win over Gog. All of our hearts are in this. All of our futures lie in this action."

Tomorrow General Patrick questions who those energynauts are and where they get their power from.
