The Special Forces unit and the Voun soldiers attack the death camp. First step in freeing the prisoners...
THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Nineteen
Adam and Wills had sat quietly during Albert's visit. Now, they looked at the ravaged faces of Glenna, Ed, and Ann, and offered them their condolences.
Adam spoke up then, and said that we needed to get going to oversee the war and to help out with the prisoners at the internment camps; in our intensely emotional state we had forgotten for a moment what we were working for; our first priority-saving the Wales and freeing the slaves.
We hastily readjusted our attitudes, gathered our belongings and thought-traveled to the place we were needed the most.
Ed, Adam, and Wills went to the Wale-Selve border to be with the armies, and Ann and Glenna rejoined the other women as they sat in their truck near the border of Wale and Selve, waiting for their soldiers to defeat the Selve soldiers and then attack the internment camps.
The Special Forces and the soldiers of Voun converged on one another as they crossed the Selve border. They soon came to the camp of the Selve soldiers stationed on the Voun and Selve border. The Selve guards were all asleep at their posts. They crept to the edge of the Selve camp, and then attacked the Selve soldiers, who were deeply asleep, and annihilated those units of the Selve Army.
General Rand's and General Cummings' armies were doing well on the other side of Selve also. The Emon soldiers in their command had also found the Selve soldiers asleep-even the guards. Their's was a sizable slaughter but they also took 1,000 soldiers as prisoners.
The Voun, and Special Forces soldiers, marched on to the internment camps. Adam, Wills, Ed, and Bond led the men. When they were coming close to the camps, Wills asked for the men to stop a moment, and Adam called "Halt!"
"I am a Selve," stated Wills, "but I hate the ideas of Gog and want my country to be run by a democracy of the people.
"Anyway, I am green. My countrymen are green. I am asking that you put all of my Selve soldiers in the front lines. That way, the soldiers holding down the camps will think, at first, that we are compatriots and not shoot us. Then we will have a greater chance of mowing them down before they can get much damage done to our side."
"Excellent idea Wills! Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Oh, yes!"
General Coleman ordered that all Selve soldiers come to the front of the lines. When all of the Selves had been transferred to the front lines, Wills addressed them.
"As Selves, we watched Gog build his empire and continue to accumulate power and wealth. We knew that he was trying to kill all of the Wales. It is true that we formed a resistance army and fought him the best we could, but now we have the chance to do something for the future of Selve. Let us fight in the front and become the first to free the slaves and internees. Let us fight for the new Selve with all of our bodies and soul!"
All of the Selve soldiers took a step forward, in unison.
They came to the first camp and tore down the locked gate! Soldiers came pouring out of the buildings, some half-dressed, but they halted in mid-stride when they saw it was only other Selve soldiers up to mischief.
By the time Gog's soldiers stopped laughing and realized that the Selve soldiers they were seeing were actually the enemy, several hundred of Gog's soldiers were dead. It was at that moment that a message came through the public address system from the Selve's Chief Radioman.
"ATTENTION! ATTENTION! Gog has been assassinated! I say, Gog is dead, he has been assassinated! We are FREE!"
All of Gog's soldiers stopped in their tracks, then they all raised their hands and surrendered.
A radio message was sent to Lucy and Miriam that the camp had been captured so they could come ahead.
General Coleman handed over the camp to Bond, and then the Voun soldiers marched forward to Mano.
On the Western front, the Emon soldiers kept marching forward to Mano. They radioed General Coleman and asked to rendezvous at the Glandis River, northeast of Mano. General Coleman said "yes," and asked if they had lost any men yet.
The Emon soldiers said they had lost two men just over the border into Selve. General Coleman was very glad to hear that there were only two Emon soldiers that had lost their lives, and said that they had lost two dozen men between the Voun and Special Forces soldiers.
