THE SECOND MEETING ON THE SPACE SHIP

The second Sunday meeting of the allies as they plan their war and discuss problems and triumphs.

THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Sixteen

Tom worked his way up the stairs to the ship's hatch, opened it, and let us all climb aboard. He ushered us into the middle of the ship and we all sat around the map table, except for Trev and Julie who sat in the dining nook and watched Bugs Bunny cartoons and ate cookies and fruit, and drank lemonade.

Tom called for order and said that he had an exciting idea if everyone was agreeable. After lunch, we would all take a two-hour flight on the ship as we explored the entire planet of Kor.

"We can go over all of the roads and river ways, and have a much better idea of where our soldiers will meet possible problems, or find short cuts that will save them time.

"I am sure you will all be taking notes and making drawings as we travel, and then we can discuss what we see when we get back to our base.

"Is everyone o.k. with that?"

Everyone said "yes!" and we all began talking at once.

"First," said Tom, "let's all get acquainted with General Samuel Patrick who is new among us today.

"Stand up Sam; we all go by first names here. Tell us about yourself and why you have come into our little, but powerful group."

"My name is Samuel, or Sam, Patrick and I am Miriam's highest ranked general and leader of the Voun forces. Miriam has given me the gift of hope; hope for a righteous battle; certainty of a win, I am extremely grateful to be able to join with you all."

Tom thanked General Patrick and then asked Wills how things had gone. Wills told the story of their battle against Gog's men and finally getting everyone into the armory safely with help from Miriam and Bond and their salt-mine trucks.

Lucy then spoke up and said that they had been successful in recruiting 4,000 men and women including 300 officers. 1,000 of the old ERM soldiers had been sent to the Wale Armory to take part in the Special Forces unit and the remaining 1,000 ERM officers and men and the 4,000 new recruits, had been sent to the Wale-Emon border, and spread out along the Lantel River. Food, salt, and supplies were sent with them, and the new recruits were being trained on-location.

"Thank you, Lucy and Wills. How did things go for you, Miriam? Adam?

"Things have gone well as far as recruitment goes," said Miriam, "Glenna and I have been on a road trip going from city hall to city hall for town meetings to raise support for the war effort, and recruit new soldiers. General Patrick, meanwhile, has been preparing to train the new recruits, choosing men for the Special Forces unit, helping with transportation for Wills' men, and gearing up our weapon and ammunition factories to help arm all of these new recruits.

"I am wondering if you know how many weapons you will need, Lucy?"

"Thanks for asking, Miriam. We have 4,000 weapons and need at least 2,000 more."

"I have about 1,500 weapons that I can spare, Lucy. They are yours if you want them," said Wills.

"I will then provide you with another 1,000 guns by next Friday," offered Miriam.

"Thank you Wills and Miriam. I will gladly receive them and then I'll also need to order ammunition from you, Miriam. Will that be possible?"

"Yes. We'll talk this afternoon, and I'll take your order. Let me know how many weapons of each type that you have now and will have from Wills and myself."

"Thank you both very much," replied Lucy. "I will check for that data during our break."

"As for me," proclaimed Adam, "this has been a great week! Thank you so much for deciding to come to us and help us out. Without Ed, we couldn't have gotten everything done in time for the incoming recruits. We are now prepared to train the new recruits, and the Special Forces unit.

"We will be setting up a solid communication network between our three countries, starting tomorrow morning.

"Everything seems to be falling into place, and I am very confident that we can win this war."

"Thank you Miriam and Adam. The four of us are delighted to be able to come and work with you. It gives us the feeling of being needed and a part of the action.

"Shall we break for lunch now, friends?" asked Tom.

"Sure!" said everyone at once.

Tomorrow we take a long ride in the space ship as we gather information about each of the countries of Kor.
