Today we find the energynauts plotting spy missions to prepare to kill Gog and attack the death camps.
THE GOD GAMES: Legend of Kor...Chapter Eighteen
Glenna spoke up then and said, "Ann, Miriam, Lucy, Alice, Molly, and I will take a car from Ento to where the Special Forces unit is waiting, on the Wale-Selve border. We will leave at 8 a.m., on next Sunday morning and we will be followed by trucks carrying medical supplies and clean clothes and blankets. We will follow the Special Forces unit to the internment camps, and give aid and guidance to the inmates once they are liberated.
"Bond will lead the Special Forces to victory and General Patrick will lead the Voun forces into Selve and then march on to Mano, while General Oates will lead the Emon contingent across the Emon-Selve border and all the way into Mano."
"Where will Julie and Trev be during this war?" asked Adam of Molly.
"Well, Willow has offered to take care of them while I'm gone," answered Molly.
"Good," said Adam. "I also want to give you my condolences on the loss of your husband, Rave."
"Thank you very much," said Molly, "my heart is sad, but he had been totally supportive of Gog. He actually loved Gog, there was a lot of trouble between us over the subject. I will be fine, and I am at peace over his loss, the children are, of course, very upset and will miss him terribly."
"Does anyone have anything else they need to address?" asked Tom. No one else raised their hand, so Tom dismissed us for the day. We all worked together to clean up the ship, then Tom, Ed, Glenna, and I took our friends home.
__________
When we had left our friends at their home, or base, the four of us returned to the ship to go over all of the plans coming up for us.
We slept deeply that night, snuggled in our own beds, and didn't wake up until 8:00 Monday morning.
We got up and ate a large breakfast of cantaloupes, rolls, and green tea. The we sat around in our night clothes and discussed what lay ahead of us.
Tom spoke up first, "I will be sticking with Wills as we plot our plan to exterminate Gog. I believe that I will travel to Gog's Palace and see what the lay of the land is there. I shall be invisible, and am hoping that everything is not locked up so that I can travel freely where ever I desire to go."
"If you don't mind Tom, I would like to travel with you," suggested Ed.
"That would be great Ed. I'm sure things will go better if we travel together. Of course, we'll have to watch our talking so that the Selves won't hear us.
"How about you ladies, what are you planning to do?" asked Tom.
"We have been talking about going to the internment camps and seeing how they are set up; where the soldiers bunk and eat their meals; where their guard posts are situated; when the soldiers stand guard; and when they have a changing of the guards. We hope to spot their weaknesses so we can take advantage of them when we attack," explained Glenna.
"Wow, I'm really impressed ladies. That will be a major undertaking. Please be very careful," said Tom.
"You two will also be in great danger. Please be careful also," I said.
"We are fortunate that we can think our way out of any danger by using thought-travel; as can you. So I am not really too worried about any of us getting into trouble," explained Ed.
"I think we should take today to plan our missions and rest so that we can deal with any hard work or situation we come upon," I suggested.
"Seconded," said Ed and Glenna at once.
Glenna and I sat in the dining nook, and the boys sat at the map table and we all put steps together to make a workable plan of action.
The we ran our plans past each other.
"Tom and I will think our way to Gog's palace. There, we will search the grounds to see where the soldiers are posted. Then I'd like to see inside the palace and discover where the lizards are kept and if any are kept inside the palace," said Ed.
Glenna said that as far as the internment camps went we would walk around the camps looking for where the guards are stationed and for any weaknesses in their defenses. Then we would enter the barracks and try to assess the health and strength of the prisoners. Would they have the strength required to get out of bed and walk out of the camps? Or will we have to feed them and bring doctors in to take care of their physical traumas before they can move at all?
"So, we rest today," said Tom. "Just kick back and think about what we're going to be doing and imagining any problems or dangers that might arise. Then, early tomorrow morning when it is still black outside, we'll go on our investigative journeys."
Glenna and I took long baths and curled our hair. We washed the clothes we would be wearing for the week, and then started poached bass in our special oven. We finished dinner at 6:00 p.m., and then cleaned up the kitchen, played a few hands of Canasta-Glenna won-and then we went to bed for a few hours.
We got up really early, at 2:00 a.m., ate a solid breakfast, and we were ready to go on our adventures by 3:00 a.m.
We locked up the ship, shook off our morning doldrums, hugged our partners, and then Tom and Ed headed to Gog's palace, and Glenna and I thought-traveled to the internment camps in the Southeast quarter of Selve.
Tomorrow I will be sharing with you a letter I wrote to my beautiful granddaughter, Sheera, about the power of the human soul and how to win in life.
